Obtaining License

Issue and extension of a road permit When issuing new route permits, road surveys are conducted to identify the need for passengers and according to the road classification, the procurement process.

  • In case of a road permit obtained through a tender, the relevant charges should be taken as per tender conditions
  • 3750.00 per annum renewal for issuing a road license and Rs. 5000.00 per annum for luxury service.
  • When a license is canceled without a passenger, you will have to pay a fine for passenger transport.

    3. Request letter from the new owner
    4. Unlimited insurance
    5. Revenue license of the bus
    6. Bus Certificate of Fitness
    7. Rs. 500/- should be paid for inspection of the bus and Quality Inspection Report of the bus should be furnished.
    8. Registration of drivers in the Road Passenger Transport Authority
    9. Release letter if run on a copy
    10. Monthly Running Chart Fee is Rs. 1000.00 and in case the monthly running chart is not obtained on due date a demurrage will be levied.

  • 1. In case the bus had been operated within another province, the letter of release issued by the Road Passenger Transport Authority of the relevant Province
